CNN Enhances Zimmerman 911 Tape Again, Sounds like F**king Cold...

Oh definitely, and especially for men Cawacko. But I believe most kids are told to run, and to me this 17 yo boy was still a kid. And I believe most women are going to run in that situation.

How many will stop then approach the person they are running from? I get what you are saying, just pointing out that portions of what happened that night do not fit with this. I tell my kids to run home, not to stop and ask what the people are following them for...

Darla, not to get off track but to expand on what you said I was friends with a Mexican girl. She said her brother was marrying someone from El Salvador and that her dad was PISSED. Her dad has used some derogatory term for people from El Salvador and basically said they were below Mexicans. So yes it seems to happen on every level.

Until I worked in the utility construction industry I had no idea how divided hispanics were based on their country of origin. We wanted to combine two crews to complete a large section once and we were told we couldn't do that and get anything done because one crew was mexicans and one was salvadorians. When I didn't understand they explained that all they would do is fight or stare at each other.

Hatred is taught everywhere in the world.

Yes, one of my close friends is Colombian and I really had no idea how the hierarchy of country of origin, race, and even skin shade worked before I got to know her well. It's really unbelievable.

I spoke about this earlier. I've lived it. I look white, well tanned but white.. however my father was a Native American. I used to get it from both sides... *sigh*

However I have a "german sounding" name (my father was adopted), and can "pass" so you'll see people dismiss what I have gone through. You can even see it in this thread.

We don't know exactly what happened but from his phone conversation with that girl, it definitely seems he first attempted to withdraw from the situation. He even thought he had lost him. Once zimmerman continued to follow him, we do not know what happened. But at some point, prey can turn and fight. This I feel is instinctual, and I am a woman and I have felt this. I have several examples of this. Once a man waiting for me on top of a hill in his car when I was on a bike. I wonder if you have ever been prey? It is not as cut and dry as you believe. Instinct takes over and you really never know how you are going to react.

I've never had a time in my life where I wasn't trained to do something about things. I teach my kids to get away from people but to watch for weapons, pick something up just in case, find a place to hide, and be prepared to use your weapon if they are relentless...

Each of these things are things I have done.

You keep saying we don't know what happened, yet you continue to suggest you do know what happened. I do notice that.

I don't think an over six foot kid felt like he was prey this way. I don't know how many times you've been followed as a man, but we do react a bit differently.

Yes I think it's glaringly obvious what happened. I admit we do not know the exact sequence. But he was followed, and he's dead. He was murdered. IMO, many people want to find out exactly what he said or did to incite the gunshot. To me that is exactly like hearing about a rape but now you need to know, well why was she on that block? What was she wearing? This fucking goon followed this kid and he had NO business doing that. If the kid did turn and fight at some point, and we don't know that he did, but if he did, he had EVERY right to do so. It is irrelevant. And I do not view a 17 yo as a man. No 17 yo is going to react the same way a fully grown and experienced man reacts.

Bull. He knew he was being followed, and he was freaked out about it. Give me a break.

I disagree. It was this dude's job, admittedly volunteer, given to him by the community to watch for strangers and report them. That he was frustrated and followed him after being told they didn't need him to do that doesn't change any of that. We can "suggest" all sorts of motivation onto the scenario, but neither of these people were doing anything illegal up until one attacked the other.

Finding out who attacked whom is the actual answer to the question of whether it actually was self-defense or an outright first degree murder.

You're not allowed to stalk someone, provoke a confrontation, shoot an unarmed kid dead as a result and then claim "self-defense." Sorry - that's setting a ridiculous precedent.

And we can certainly make inferences about motivation from what we have. At the very least, this guy was frustrated to the boiling point - he wasn't gonna take it anymore.

Bullshit. If community watchers are told to follow people they should be charged with stalking, the whole lot of them. I don't believe that's the case - I believe they are told to call the police period. I think you know that.

This guy is dirty, with a history of violence, and he followed a kid and then murdered him.

Now whether it can be proved in a court of law, I don't know, we'll see. But that's what happened.

These men here don't seem to understand the intimidation and violence that is inherent in physical stalking. In following someone. I am amazed by it. I read some of it last week and was disgusted. In fact I was actually glad I couldn't post.

WHo the fuck do any of you guys think you are to believe that because some jackass gets himself crowned a "watcher" by a group of other jackasses, he has the right to follow anyone? That is freaking male privilege first of all, and white privilege secondly. Of all the goddamned nerve.

And of course the absolute lunacy involved in assuming that the guy with NO history of violence started the altercation with the guy with a documented history of violence.

I mean, this case has really exposed some ugly truths in this country.

Like I said, you believe what you want to believe and what was originally presented. Edited tapes making the guy look nearly inhuman. I was on here too calling for the guy's arrest. Shoot we didn't even know that he had been arrested and detained in that evening at that time.

Now we see enhanced video first reported as "not showing injuries" now suddenly showing injuries, we hear a tape originally "enhanced" to hear a racial slur enhanced by the very same news network that gave us the first tape with him saying something entirely different.

It's not logic, it's what he said. You want it to show him as the monster you wanted to believe he was.

Dude isn't even white. He's exactly as white as the President is.

Okay, where did "we" see this video? I havn't seen it, and I have been looking. Have you actually seen this video with your own eyes?
The link you put in the other thread did not go to a video.

I love having Darla here. I don't have to type anything, and Damo responds to her instead of calling her an idiot.

I'm looking forward to the next law named after a person, lets call it the trayvon martin act, that mandates a minimum of 15 feet away from the person ahead of you if you're following that person and that any closer than that will be considered stalking.

Please. Racism is taught. Had his father been a doctor, I'd side with you. His father is an ex-judge, probably with the same mindset of present Texas State Rep. Ted Poe, who was a notorious "racist" judge, and no doubt, thinks blacks are "coons", as much as Zimmerman's father.

Racism is taught.?

Then its obvious YOU were one hell of a good student........honors material

Are you insane? Or just plain stupid? How many blacks live in a gated community? Lots. Things are closer to The Cosby Show, than you think. There goes that notion of "white privilege", again, thinking that only whites living in gated communities are conventional wisdom. Who is anyone to say, that someone doesn't belong? Goddamit.

Who is anyone to say, that someone doesn't belong? Goddamit?

Usually its the people in the neighborhood that recognize their neighbors......may not know them on a name basis but certainly

after seeing someone for months know if they "belong"......Thats conventional wisdom, something you lack....

I'm glad someone mentioned that. When it was first reported that he was half-hispanic, the reaction on this board was a collective "gotcha" from anyone who didn't think there could be a racial aspect to the case. Like it's impossible for one minority group to have predudicial feelings against another - they're all in the same boat, after all!

Minorities being bigoted at all has been denied so many times by the typical lefty on this board, its odd to see someone actually claim otherwise........

Darla makes herself judge and jury and wont' entertain any other claims except what the left wingers say......her mind was made up without the benefit of any factual information, except a black kid was killed by a white Hispanic....
Enhanced audio was wonderful just a few days ago and now its bullshit when its shown he didn't use a slur....
Eyewitness testimony don't matter.....
Video that DON'T show something is taken a proof of something thats not visible.....

You both make up bullshit and tell us your opinions as if you were actually there and saw what happened with your own eyes.....

Slightly backwards, isn't it....Zimmerman admitted Martin was "running" away and it was Zimmerman that 'lost' sight of him.....his story is he was returning to his SUV, confronted by surprise, and attacked......I would wonder how he would ever be attacked if he was armed and expecting it, if that was the case, he would have had
the weapon in his hand and used it before he got punched in the face.........conversly, its plain, he was surprised by his attacker....

As Darla notes, if you are prey and know it....you prepare for it, its instinctual......or you wind up getting cold cocked.....
