INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man is facing an intimidation charge after he allegedly threated to kill immigrants in social media posts.
On Jan. 14, IMPD received a report of threats made through TikTok, which notified the Exigent Threat Research and Analysis Crisis Team within the FBI Operations Center.
According to court documents, the threats began Jan. 12 around 9:45 p.m., and the last threat was posted Jan. 14 shortly before 6:30 a.m.
Court documents reveal some of the written threats included:
Detectives identified the threats were made on an account belonging to 58-year-old Preston Pickett.
- "Come j 20 I will shoot on sight I don’t check IDs so you all are illegal too me."
- "I will be famous for killing the most illegals in one day."
- "I will kill many illegals on January 20."

When detectives confronted Pickett on Jan. 16 at a home in Southport, he allegedly came out of the home screaming that "police were complicit with the illegals in this country."
- In November 2023, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office received an anonymous threat from the cellphone registered to Pickett, advising that he would use an AR-15 and shoot employees while they walked to the vehicles.
- In March 2024, Pickett allegedly made threats to a Florida car wash, saying he was going to shoot the place up.
According to court documents, a detective told Pickett they were there to investigate the threats made on his TikTok, which Pickett allegedly claimed his posts are freedom of speech and don't break any laws.
Court documents say Pickett then asked the detective if he "had the right to exercise his second amendment against foreign and domestic terrorists," which the detective said he did not.
With a search warrant, detectives went in the Southport home and found two long guns, which were confiscated along with Pickett's cellphone.

Also, It should also be obvious that we can't allow people to cross the border without knowing who they are and why they're coming, information we'd get when they go through the proper process. Biden, opened the border the first day in office. He should have been impeached and removed very quickly for not doing his fundamental job that he just swore he would.
It's really simple: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
There's no possible argument for opening the border and letting in unknown people, knowingly putting the citizens you swore to protect in serious danger. It's not difficult to understand why.
If you were responsible for your family's safety and well-being, you would be a fool to leave the door open and let any number of strangers walk in, anytime, and stay as long as they wish. You should be able to imagine all the ways you would be responsible for the terrible things that would happen in your home. In a perfect world, you'd be on your way to prison for knowingly endangering your family.
If you are smart enough to use a computer, then you should be able to understand this reality. You must be so blinded by hate for Trump that you can't agree with even the most common sense positions, including keeping your family safe.
Granted this is long, but it's an example of a person defending their position without copying someone's article or propaganda. It's straight from my mind.
