On one side is Harvard, the nation’s oldest and wealthiest university, with a brand so powerful that its name is synonymous with prestige. On the other side is the Trump administration, determined to go further than any other White House to reshape American higher education.

Both sides are digging in for a clash that could test the limits of the government’s power and the independence that has made U.S. universities a destination for scholars around the world.

President Trump threatened Harvard University’s tax-exempt status on Tuesday after the school rebuffed the administration’s demands ostensibly aimed at purging “woke” ideology from America’s college campuses. The changes, Harvard officials said, required severe restrictions, including to freedom of expression, that they could not accept.

It's far more likely to test the limits of the university's power.

The worst grads I ever worked with were Harvard grads.
:truestory:
Do you think that is a relevant statement? I worked with Harvard grads and they knew what grads from other schools knew. They admitted what is tough about Harvard,is getting in. How does that impact Trump's trying to control the educational system? How is that meaningful about Trump using his power to punish universities that would not cede their control to him?
I wonder if Trump is after their endowment?

Not really. I just enjoy pointing that out.:tongout:

Not the ones I worked with. They were incompetent.

They admitted what is tough about Harvard,is getting in.

Apparently that’s about it.

It doesn’t. It isn’t.
But their dental school sucks apparently.
I just like pointing that out.:)

Most Americans hate the fascist Trump.
Lie or ignorance on your part.

Right now, Trump's approval rating hovers right around 45 to 50% depending on the poll. While somewhere between 30 and 35% strongly disapprove meaning that about 25 to 30% of Americans hate Trump--almost if not entirely coming from the Left.
