Jordan Peterson vs 20 atheist

They destroyed him and his credibility

When a debater who introduced himself as Danny said to Peterson, "You're a Christian," Peterson answered: "You say that, I haven't claimed that."

"What is this?" Danny asked, "Christians versus atheists," referring to the title of the debate.

“While the video is now entitled Jordan Peterson vs 20 atheists, it is was originally called 1 Christian vs 20 atheists, according to an archived version of the page on WaybackMachine.”

I vaguely recalled the name and had to look him up. He appears to be quite the wackadoodle.

Health problems
Peterson was prescribed clonazepam for anxiety that reportedly began after a "violent reaction to a meat and greens only diet". The dose started at 0.5mg/day in 2016 and had increased to 4mg/day by 2020.[203][204] Peterson attributed his increased usage of Clonazepam to his wife Tammy's diagnosis of kidney cancer.[202] Peterson said that he made several attempts to reduce the dosage or stop the drug completely,[202] but experienced "horrific" benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome.[205]

According to Peterson, in January 2020 he was unable to find North American doctors willing to place him into a medically induced coma as a treatment for his addiction. As a result he flew to Moscow, Russia to find a doctor who would perform the procedure.[206] Doctors in Russia reportedly diagnosed him with pneumonia in both lungs upon arrival and placed him into a medically induced coma for eight days, followed by four weeks in the intensive care unit, during which time he reported having suffered a temporary loss of motor skills.[205]

Why does refusing to identify as a christian destroy credibility?
It doesn't. The problem is the context and conflict mentioned in the OP. Additionally, why would a Christian hide their beliefs unless threatened?

He's such a pompous ass. He should have stayed in his academic/professional wheelhouse. The nano-second he starts pontificating right wing rhetoric, he's toast .... as this debate clearly shows.

The Maga mooks that actually have the mental capacity to understand the exchange will just cover their ears and bleat the SOS as they do for their Cheeto Jeezus and cohorts. Pathetic.

What happened to his wife? Did she pass away?

Is that hawkeye, I bet he admits peterson is shit now.
I dont agree with Peterson re the Zionist Bastards, and I question his relationship with Daily Wire, but I dont have any major problems with him. Re whether he is a Christian or not I have seen him talk about that a few times.....I have not seen him do it this time.....I have not been listening to him much for about a year.

People come and go on my grapevine.

It appears she beat the odds and survived.

Outspoken clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson is well known for his controversial comments on everything from transgender rights to Disney's live-action Snow White remake. However, his wife Tammy Peterson keeps a much lower profile.

Peterson, 61, and the former massage therapist, 58, have been married for 34 years and have two children—Mikhalia Fuller, 31, and Julian Peterson, 28. However, the couple have had their ups and downs over the years, including a cancer scare and a stint in rehab.

He's worth $8M. IMO, it's all about the money with him just like it is for Richard Dawkins on the other side of the fence.

Jordan Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist, social commentator, author, and professor of psychology who has a net worth of $8 million. Jordan Peterson is known for his somewhat controversial comments on political, social, and cultural issues....

....In a 2019 interview with Martin Weill, Jordan claimed that he was making $80,000 per month from his Patreon account at that point. He deleted his Patreon account in January 2019. In the same interview, Jordan claimed to be earning $35,000 per speaking engagement and roughly $200,000 per month from his consulting firm/clinical practice.

Jordan has also presumably earned a decent chunk of money from book royalties. He has reportedly sold around five million books during his career to date. If he was earning just $1 per book sold, that would be $5 million pre-tax, though it's unclear what actual rate he's receiving or how many books he may have needed to sell to pay down production costs.

Peterson enjoys business, and he tends to be good at it....that's fine with me.

Jordan is a lot like Bret and Heather....someone I have spent a lot of time with over years.....who drop off my grapevine not because I change my mind about them but because I lose interest either because they go places I am not interested in or I get bored.

Bret and Heather I am tuning into some again after more than a year away.....Jordan is still gone.....I for instance did not look at this thread till just a few minutes ago.
