(AP) Politics eclipsed the Iraq war as the top story in recent news coverage as U.S. media attention focused on the presidential race, according to a study released Monday.

People R stupid.
 
Well...

I do think one does have something to do with the other. Our interest in this election and the early start of it is from the fact that,

1) There is no "incumbent" in the executive branch running for it.

and 2) There are pressing issues like Iraq that people want solved now, by a candidate who won't be in office until 2009.
