My brother was into collecting Beanie Babies. He spent a lot of money collecting and cataloging them back in the nineties. Then the bubble busted and they were worth nothing.
Did he let that get him down?
Hell no. Like a great entrepreneur he dressed the little dolls up in S&M outfits. Went around to local gay bars and sold them at a considerable mark up. He sold the under names like "Big Daddy", "Bear" and "Aye Poppy".
That wasn't nearly as profitable as his idea to sell rainbow colored camo jackets and hats to gay rednecks.
