Since the constitution never mentions or implies anything about abortion it is a state matter - as it always had been prior to 1973. Federal congress cannot legalize abortion or ban it for that matter or do anything about it.
 
Indeed. They want to federally mandate all behavior that they approve of and federally ban all behavior that they disapprove of.

It's easier to rule from a central location. The Democrats view the 'federal government' as the controlling oligarchy, and the State governments are just bureaucrats to help push the parchment around.

You see it backwards, freedom to make medical decisions for oneself is a restriction on the government, not a right granted to it. R. v. W. restricted the government from taking that freedom from the people.

The government FEd or State should be restricted from making medical decisions for anyone, the Constitution did not grant that power to any government.

Check the 9th, they were talking about things not mentioned (like the right to privacy (freedom) when they wrote it...

“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

Note that it says RETAINED BY THE PEOPLE, not THE STATES!

R v W was itself unconstitutional. The federal government has NO power or authority to legalize abortion or ban it.

Not quite right. You are denying federalism again.

The Constitution of the United States, as you correctly state, does not give authority to the United States government to make any medical decision. Some State constitutions, however, DO give authority to the State involved to make certain medical decisions. If a State constitution does not give a specific authority, then that State has NO authority in that area. It goes to the people.

That said, States are very explicit about murder, which is what abortion is, and they DO have that authority.

Neither the states or the fed have the power to ban abortions due to Americans right to freedom. (aka privacy) The right to make those type of decisions is retained by the PEOPLE according to the 9th Amendment of the Untied States Constitution.

The States do have the authority to ban abortions. Abortion is murder. It is not freedom to murder. The victim has no freedom. They are dead.
