Gun fired nobody injured? Oh, that is OK then. That does not count. If the bullet ricocheted and hit someone, it would count. Rules are tough to follow since they are so fluid.

Then why did three national news sources should this headline? Agenda much?

Well, if the bullet didn't hit anyone, fuck it.

It's just like the new headline in Variety, "14 new Avengers movies came out and nobody knew." Ergo, they didn't happen.

Oh wait, that didn't happen.

And now for the actual breakdown;

"recorded 17 incidents where guns were fired at schools or colleges in 2018. There were six shootings at K-12 schools where at least one victim was killed or wounded"

http://time.com/5159039/florida-school-shooting-parkland/

If you want to deflect with numbers and what constitutes a school, fine, but "six shootings at K-12 schools where at least one victim was killed or wounded" is horrific, and we are only at mid February. Was a time once even a kid having a gun in a school was a scandal, now actual kids getting shot is as American as apple pie

even a claim of 18 school shootings doesn't seem to be enough of a wake up call to put guns in schools to defend our kids. instead, the desired response is more prohibition, which is obviously why nobody can seem to get their hands on heroin.

...

Everytown has long inflated its total by including incidents of gunfire that are not really school shootings. Take, for example, what it counted as the year’s first: On the afternoon of Jan. 3, a 31-year-old man who had parked outside a Michigan elementary school called police to say he was armed and suicidal. Several hours later, he killed himself. The school, however, had been closed for seven months. There were no teachers. There were no students.

....

Everytown explains on its website that it defines a school shooting as “any time a firearm discharges a live round inside a school building or on a school campus or grounds.”

.....

A month ago, for example, a group of college students were at a meeting of a criminal-justice club in Texas when a student accidentally fired a real gun, rather than a training weapon. The bullet went through a wall, then a window. Though no one was hurt, it left the student distraught.

Is that a "school shooting", according to Everytown, yes.

--------------

Seriously. This statistic is so incorrect that it becomes a valuable aid to people who want people to stop listening to people who want to do something about the actual events. Stop quoting this statistic, it will not help you.

Are you willing to die to take away my 2nd Amendment right?

Either the govt is going to supply teachers with a gun, ammo and training at the govts expense or make teachers foot the bill.

Considering the govt underfunds teachers as it is requiring teachers to often buy supplies with their own money, we can assume teachers will be required to buy their own arms and ammo. How many will be willing to do that?

Arming teachers is not the answer!
Only a NRA brain washed mind, would consider such a half ass fix.
