I wonder how the people who voted yes interpreted the question?

Did they equate it to us leaving?

I just cant immagine anyone saying yes unless that is who they viewed its meaning.

I would like to see what questions they asked before this one to understand what frame of mind the questions put them in.

That is why I posted a link to the results and the exact wording of the question.

There are some radicals out there who would probably find a complete US disaster in the area as adequate punishment for the US crimes, but I don't think they number in the millions as this poll would suggest. Most of the people were probably just making a statement about the troops coming home.

This was the exact wording of the question:

If Bush came to us each month for a check equal to our share 90 percent would tell him to gtf out.

very lopsided question
it should read

Do you personally think the world would be better off if the United States continues to use military force to win the occupation and settle the civil war in Iraq or switch to a more diplomatic strategy?

very lopsided question
it should read

However, it seems they asked a different one.

Most did answer no, or "I don't know."

The question is clearly understandable. I don't think they were spinning the meaning in their minds.

Do you personally think the world would be better off if the United States continues to use military force to win the occupation and settle the civil war in Iraq or switch to a more diplomatic strategy?
And this question is also clearly weighted.

HaHa!

I liked question #41 in the poll:

41. Have you ever said a prayer for President Bush?

Is this survey a joke? It seems like a caricature.

I found it interesting. While more who said they were Republican said that they did, more Democrats did than didn't....

Huge amounts of Americans pray regularly. More than I thought would.

The US has already lost in Iraq so the question doesn't make a lot of sense and I'm sure there are many who believe that when the US faces its inevitable Saigon moment, we will be less prone to attack Iraq and any other small nation we can get our hands on.
