2010 NFL Draft

It will be interesting to see where Tim Tebow goes in the draft. There's lots of wild speculation about him. I doubt that he goes in the first round. The knocks against him at the NFL level are to many. He would be a 2 to 3 year project in the NFL to be a starter as they would have to build him up from the ground up. I personally think his draft value goes up as an athelete vs a QB. He'd make one hell of a tight end or full back. The only team that it would make sense to draft Tebow in the first round would be Jacksonville as Tebow would put asses in seats. Right now I'd say, as a QB, he gets drafted in late second to third round. At the NFL level Locker, Bradford, Clausen, LeFevour, McCoy and Pike are all better bets at the QB position then Tebow. Personally, I don't see a lot of depth this year at QB. I'm glad my team doesn't need a QB. I don't think any of these guys are worth the money you'd have to pay a first round pick but if I had to choose one, I'd go with Locker or LeFevour.

I'm also going with Suh to be the #1 overall pick.

Oh Yea....McClain is rated as a middle first round pick. I'd love to see him drop a little so my Bengals could snatch him. Can you imagine Mauluga, McClain and Rivers as your starting LB's? Rivers is the oldest with 2 years NFL experience. That would be hotshit. I know the talking heads have the Bengals taking a receiver or TE (which they do need) but I know Mike Brown well enough that he'd do what his father always did and take the best available athlete.

Tebow is too hyped up, much like Stafford ended up being. He may go first round, but I doubt it. Unless the redskins drop Campbell to rebuild yet again.

I can't wait to see McClain playing on Sundays. Whoever takes him will get an extra fan next year. lol

Ehh it's a big jump to the NFL. Even first round picks only have a 50/50 chance of lasting more than 3 years. Let alone being a star. I'd say the thing McClain has going most for him is his productivity and his intelligence. He's a bit small by NFL standards though and it may take a season or two to bulk up.

I have been fans of previous Bama defensive backs who excelled in the pros.

Cornelius Bennet, Derrick Thomas and Demeco Ryans are a few that I enjoyed watching in their college days and in their pro days.

McClain will do fine. The bulk can be added. And he is a serious student of the game. He will be valuable in no time.

My guess is Tebow goes in the second to a team that needs a QB, but is not desperate for a QB. Tebow is a competitor. If they cannot fix his horrid mechanics, I think he could become a Dallas Clark type TE. He is worth a second round pick.

I thought Locker was staying in school, but I could be wrong.

Suh is the best player in this draft, but I think St Louis with Carricker and Long will go with a QB. A mistake in my opinion, but I think that is where they will go. More than likely they make the monumental mistake of taking Claussen. That kid is all hype. He couldn't win games at Notre Dame, yet somehow he is a great NFL prospect? Calling Ryan Leaf... you may soon be relieved as the biggest QB bust in NFL history.

That said... it is a weak QB class as you said... so someone will take a shot at Claussen early due to the hype. Bradford is the only QB I think is worthy of a top ten pick... he would be top 2 if not for his injury.

McCoy and Pike are late first to early second round picks. The top DT's will fly off the board, OT is pretty deep this year, so there may not be the urgency to take them early.

My Chiefs pick at 5... my guess is they take Okung if he is available. Maybe Berry... though I wouldn't mind them taking Spiller at five and grabbing an OT with their first pick in the second round and the best OG/LB/S available with their second second round pick.

That would be a steal for the Bengals and make a great LB core.

But I seriously doubt McClain gets by the Broncos.

From everything I have read and seen, none of the QBs available are going to make anyone jump out and grab them early. There are some top defensive prospects though. The safety from FLorida looks like a good pic. An excellent athlete and a Rhodes Scholar too? At least he can learn what he needs to know quickly.

The south got their ass whipped at the senior bowl. But it was good to see that Bama players accounted for the scoring. Colin Peek caught a td pass, and Leigh Tiffin nailed 2 field goals. Someone should grab Tiffin early.

Probably wishful thinking on my part. There's some good WR coming out this year. The kid from OK State who was suspended for meeting with Deion Sander and the kid from Illinois would fit in well with the Bengals as a possesion receiver.

Bradford & Clausen are the only 2 first round QB's. Tebow removed himself in the Senior bowl. Colt late 2nd, Tbow late second or third round project.

I don't think Clausen is a first rounder. He had some moments, but he would need a lot to be an NFL starter.

He has the Notre Dame hype machine behind him... he will go in the first. Many are projecting him number one overall to the Rams. I agree with your assessment and think he is a waste of a pick... ESPECIALLY in the top half of the first round.

Dez Bryant will be a good talent IF he stays away from morons like Sanders. If he keeps listening to Sanders then he will be like Crabtree... holding out to be paid like he was drafted ten slots ahead of where he actually was... CAUSE DEION said he was worth it. He could easily fall to the Bengals.

I have Tebow as the 4th or 5th QB taken in the draft. Jacksonville may surprise everyone by taking him in the 1st rd to put asses in seats.

Falls to the Begnals? Ahh that sounds so lovely...I'm so used to "And the Bengals take with the 3rd overall pick, Sally Hemmings."

My guess is that Tebow really likes being a quarterback, will refuse to transition to TE in the NFL and will end up playing in the CFL.
