Shaken, not stirred!
Okay, by now every mother's son and daughter has chimed in on the meeting then subsequent press conference between N.Y. Mayor-elect Mamdani and President Trump.
And everyone is trying to figure out exactly WTF went on behind closed doors for Trump to come out in a "understanding big brother" mood, while Mamdani remained a polite and congenial politician. Neither would take the bait from the press to have a scene reminiscent of when the President of South Africa visited or when Zelensky was here.
The Maga pundits are spinning like tops, trying to mesh Trump's previous vitriol with his "aww shucks, he's a nice guy and we can work it out" attitude. Meanwhile, left wing and progressive pundits are trying to read into Mamdani's almost stoic performance as some type of Machiavellian strategy.
What do you, dear readers, make of it?
