I don't value pretentiousness. Since I can't think of a single reason why I should wear a tattoo, pierce my body, or color my hair, I don't follow along with any of it.

Of course. I think ear piercings (and sure, guys can look alright with them, too), are the only ones that can really enhance looks. Girls pierce their belly-buttons and place stones over them, forgetting that the bare-skin is far prettier than whatever ornamentation they choose to place over them. After that, it's all downhill, with eyebrows, noses, lips, tongues, etc.
