8 Facts That Prove the Tea Party Is Ignorant of the U.S. Constitution

I do find it interesting that you went the way of the liberal in approving of state action to punish people for a right you dont agree with. Like i've always said, lefties and righties are both authoritarians, just about different things

Awesome.

We have 1 that thinks 1/3 isn't real and another that thinks anyone should be able to drive a car, fly a plane or sail a boat without a license or insurance.

no, you dont know more than I do, obviously. In fact, I'd say you're pretty ignorant of most of it if you believe that the 10th says the states can require drivers licenses without even considering the state constitutional.limits.

Well the first rule of comprehending my intelligence, would be to comprehend what I actually SAY and not what you somehow derive when you read what I say. Over and over, I have to come back and correct something you've interpreted incorrectly, and I imagine, if you have this problem with what I say, you likely have the same problem with what the Constitution says. Again, the US Constitution outlines what powers are enumerated to the federal government (A1-S8), it also outlines what is prohibited by states (A1-S10). The Bill of Rights contains the 10th Amendment, which clearly stipulates if it's not covered in A1-S8 or prohibited by A1-S10, it is left to the states and people respectively.

the state constitutions limit the states, therefore the state cant deny a right of the people, in whole or in part, and it doesnt allow it to happen according to majority vote. If you knew the constitutional concept, you'd know I am right.

Every state constitution is different! And you can yammer through this with seemingly knowledgeable legal phraseology, like "in whole or in part" or "ignore with impunity" but it doesn't make you any more intelligent on the subject, so let's drop the dramatics. Article 1 Section 8 outlines specific powers granted to the federal government, and Article 1 Section 10 outlines specific restrictions on the states.... Everything else, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, is decided by the people and the states.

This has nothing to do with what I agree with, or what issue is being discussed, or what political motivations I have. The Constitution states what the Constitution states, and it means what it means! It appears that YOU are the one who wants to abandon the Constitution, and formulate the idiotic notion that we really don't have any government at all, we can all just do as we fucking well please, because the government doesn't have the power to do anything at all, at a state or federal level. I've know some really moronic idiots in my life, but this has to be one of the worst cases.

LOL, the battle of the ignoramuses...

i repeat, anyone who thinks that the US constitution prohibits the states from doing ONLY those things and that all else is open for the state to implement is a plain idiot. the people created the states, therefore the state constitutions also limit the states. Art 1 Sec 10 are NOT the only restrictions on the states.

until you can show STATE constitutional proof for drivers licenses, i'll consider you dumber than I am. hows that?

are you SURE you really know the constitutional principles? I don't think so.

so I did, based upon your statements previously about the mandated insurance through the states. I see you haven't been able to show me any yet.

So when you pretended you weren't addressing the question to me, you actually were.

Did I say I could, or would show you any state constitutional authority for requiring insurance? Link up.

You can stomp your feet and get really mad about it, but the Constitution most certainly does enumerate certain powers to the federal government, and makes stipulations to the states, and the 10th Amendment does clearly articulate the states and people have the right to determine anything else, and to deny this, is to deny what the Constitution says. State Constitutions are written by state legislators who are elected as representatives of the people, therefore, the constitutions are written by the people.

There is no line in the Constitution about licenses to operate motor vehicles, probably due to the fact that motor vehicles were still a century away from being invented, but more than likely due to the fact the Constitution leaves these regulations and guidelines to the discretion of the states and the people, as it is not specifically enumerated or prohibited.
