Yeah.

Seems like the North Koreans may be willing to make a deal.

Kim Jong Un indicates he is willing to talk to South Korea and to the United States...and is even willing to discuss denuclearization.

Donald Trump can "trump" this up as a YUGE victory. He can tell everyone HE was the instrument that got Kim to this point...and he can bask in the glory of this accomplishment.

I gonna bet he will fuck it up royally. He will allow some major screw up to grab the headlines...and piss all over the good news.

That is what he excels at. That is his specialty.

So...let's see!
 
Something has to come out of it first. So far the admin has insisted that any talks can start after Kim stops making rockets and nuke tests. If Kim did that, what would he have to negotiate with? Trump is not a great negotiator . He just says he is.

trump couldn't negotiate his way out of a paper bag.
 
It is only the first step in a long process to begin some kind of talks, obviously a positive event, however, we've been down this road before, North Korea uses it as a stall and eventually breaks any agreements that are arrived at, no reason to be boasting anything big at this point

But that's the reasonable view, I'm sure the Don will take full credit for accomplishing everything including preventing an actual nuclear attack. "believe me folks, believe me"

Sadly, few will negotiate with us now. Trump feels free to throw out every deal previous administrations have made. He wants to throw out Iran deal. NAFTA, CAFTA and any other . Question, why deal with America if they will not honor their pacts? Negotiations with Trump will just be stalling tactics.
