A coronavirus recession would likely end Trump's presidency

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
The plunging stock market, badly spooked by the unpredictable spread and impact of the virus, is suggesting the tailwind might turn into a headwind — and that could mean a one-term Trump presidency. Wall Street banks are already cutting their economic growth forecasts for the first half of the year. Beyond that, they're not so sure, an uncertainty reflected in wildly gyrating markets. Economic predictions about consumer demand and supply-chain disruptions are now also pandemic predictions. JPMorgan just trimmed its second-quarter projection for U.S. GDP growth by a quarter percent to 1.75 percent, but in a report to clients added that "extensive domestic 'community spreading' would prompt a larger downward revision."

tRump is simply riding the "coatails" of a good Obama economy. Very soon, he will be held accountable for a "not so good" one.

Are you hoping for the devastation of the US economy in order to satisfy the DEMOCRATS lust for power?

Yes you did.

I didn't ask Guano what you said I did earlier, did I?

I'll refresh your memory:

"Do you want to lose your job and your stocks because you want to satisfy Democrats' lust for power?"

What does economy and stock markets crashing generally mean?

You obviously know I asked neither of those questions, don't you? It seems obvious, since you finally quoted me correctly.

"Are you hoping for the devastation of the US economy in order to satisfy the DEMOCRATS lust for power?"

What does "the devastation of the US economy" means?

Yes. He mentioned stock markets and Wall Street banks. Now, are you going to explain what "the devastation of US economy" means for us?

In my opinion, it would likely mean the events mentioned in Guano's OP would cause economic and supply chain disruptions, and might also include further impacts as detailed in his source article. You did notice that he chose to title the thread "A coronavirus recession would likely end Trump's presidency", didn't you?

I think recessions are bad for an economy.
