The author of Animal Farm - George Orwell - was a leftist, lifelong democratic socialist, a consistent member of the British progressive leftwing.

Orwell maintained that the biggest enemy of socialism was communism.

He was smarter than you, because he intuitively understood liberalism and the democratic left are incompatible with totalitarian communism.

This is how dumb you are: You did not know Orwell was a lifelong socialist.

Orwell was not trying to teach anyone to eschew liberalism and gravitate to conservatism.

That's basically what Germans had from Bismarck to Bethmann during WW1.

Germans probably killed close to 10 million in those years.

Bethmann chancellor of Germany during WW1 also sent the train of Bolsheviks to Russia which killed way more.
