While obviously not Black, I prefer Michio Kaku as a celebrity scientist. He knows more on a blind drunk than DeGrasse on his best day. DeGrasse does make a good replacement for the late Carl Sagan however. And, both are so far ahead of Bill Nye the Bullshit Guy it isn't even a contest.
