Why isn't the Hammer and Sickle Treated Like the Swastika?​

Why does the left treat two equally bloody ideologies in such starkly different ways?

If someone were to ask you to think of either extreme of the political spectrum, odds are you would immediately picture a swastika at one end and a hammer and sickle at the other.

Regardless of your views on the left-right paradigm or whether or not you subscribe to horseshoe theory, many Americans appear perceive fascism and communism as opposite ideologies .

I've observed that the swastika (which was an ancient Sanskrit symbol appropriated by the National Socialists) many are immediately reminded of the evils of the National Socialist regime and are accordingly repulsed, as they should be, IMO.

To publicly display the National Socialist swastika is a crime in many countries and will get JPP's Twitler account banned if you include it in a thread title in the Politic Forums on this site.

I hope that most people understand how abhorrent the National Socialist ideology is and view its symbol accordingly.

But how do leftists react to the Socialist hammer and sickle?

Many openly and proudly advocate communism. Statues of Marx are not removed by popular acclaim.

There is a statue honoring Lenin in the DEMOCRAT people's republic of Seattle.

No leftist mobs have demanded is removal, AFAIK.

So why, exactly, do leftists treat two equally bloody ideologies in different ways?

Thanks. I am glad you asked. In my case, because of the right-wing and their insistence on a work ethic from the Age of Iron even in modern times, i learned how to use not only a hammer, but also a sickle.
 
Marx was not a psychopath, he is among the top 5 economics in the past 150 years. Marx predictions about capitalism are happening right before our eyes. Western central banks are insolvent and in desperate need of a bailout. Janet Yellen is asking for $125 trillion with a T. The banks will get another bailout and society will be forced to the food banks.

Neither the hammer and sickle nor the Swastika are American symbols historically.

We killed the Swastika people and there was a cold war with the hammer and sickle people.

But the hammer and sickle symbol is glorified by American leftists, even though millions of people were brutalized, repressed, imprisoned, tortured and slaughtered under the bloody banner of Communism.

Don't blame me, blame the right-wing. If it weren't for them, I would be just as clueless and Causeless as right-wingers on this very site. Besides, it is supposed to be about equality and equality of work for pay. And, if it merely requires "gold", then why should I bother for free?
