A Very Honest First Date

It is clever but really not that funny. Must be a brittish thing, I don't get much out of your TV shows either.
 
Meh, one of the problems this video has going for it is that most Americans in the audience will see the opening of the sketch, and immediately think of public awareness videos/skits about dating/sex ed/drug abuse/etc., because this is the style of humour employed in that area. At that point, many people just want to run out on he video, for fear of hating it.

Also, the video dragged on too long, and poured on too much of it's particular style.

I know you are from the 3 minute attention span post slacker generation but the video was only 2 1/2 minutes long!

He's right Tom. The IQ of the average American being somewhere in the low teens this is far too high brow for the average American taste in humor. Now if he fell down going up the stairs and did a face plant that might have scored higher on the American humor meter. Since this video does require a certain level of refined thought to see the humor......well then it becomes understandable why this would appeal to the British sense of humor more than the average American who would only find this slightly humerous. Though, if it makes you feel better Tom....the Germans would not have found this video humerous at all.

Actualy, what is not that funny is that the same joke is played about 4 times in a row. I am pretty sure that is what 3-D meant about it dragging on.
