Abortion wasn't always taboo in America

interesting fantasy......even the video acknowledges that abortion was always illegal after quickening (aka the woman could tell she was pregnant with a living child).....by way, slavery wasn't always illegal either......

so you have no problem with abortion up to the first trimester

slavery? strange how the souf justified it with their bible and the creation of the southern baptists ,now jerry fartwells type peckerwoods

Christians justified slavery with the story of Ham.. That is SOME Christians.

That's true.. For most of US history abortion wasn't even illegal.

Legal or illegal, it doesn't change that having an abortion is nothing more than refusing to take responsibility for the results of a previous choice.

There are lots of reasons not to take a pregnancy to term.. Being responsible is also about acknowledging a mistake.. Health, lack of money or lack of a partner and safe housing are all responsible considerations.

Having more children than you can parent properly is also a responsible consideration.

Being responsible is accepting the results of a choice one made knowing the choice could produce those results.

Health reasons are a very, very, very, very small percentage of why women have abortions. Lack of a partner can't be a reason. They had a partner in order to get pregnant.

Interesting how you mention things that were likely in place when the person chose to take the action that produced the result they want to kill.

Why do those having children they can't afford worry about it. The more they have, the more people like me have to pay to support. They have no reason to stop if someone else is footing the bill.

If a woman has the choice of what to do with her body and it's no one else's business, when she CHOOSES to have kids she can't support, why do the rest of us get the responsibility of paying for what was supposedly none of our business? Her kids aren't my responsibility. Her choice, her place to pay for it. If she can't, tough shit for them.

I prefer to see children who are able to hold up signs that say "I was adopted, not aborted"....don't you?

Interesting history

Thanks.

Even before Xtians started dictating morality to the rest of us, women have had the knowledge of herbs and other plant medicines that can induce a miscarriage/abortion. That being said with infant mortality much higher, the vast majority of ppl desired pregnancy and birth.

I'm fairly sure that an aborted fetus -- or as you used to refer to it: "a clump of cells" -- is incapable of holding up a sign.

The "clump of cells"comment was yours...guess your memory is failing you...;)
And correct....an aborted child can't hold up a sign...very good observation...

Then YOU should NEVER have an abortion, but you don't get to make the call for women everywhere.

TOPICWAQ says:
An unborn child:) From conception;)
Not a potential human being, or a clump of cells....

As I recall, Amazon even banned you for running around after me on the forum calling my soon-to-be grand-daughter a "clump of cells" and asking if I was ready to have her aborted.
Even your friend Sheila knows you are the one who said it.

Sheila (NJ) says:

Trust me Mary, you do not want to go there. If you ask questions about this you will be accused of being someone's sock. Don't ask what a sock is either, that will jus "prove" it in their "minds". (FYI a sock is a fake account that a poster uses to pretend to be someone else).

Anyway, most of what they say about Top is a lie, but they have convinced themselves it is the truth. Yes, she did say the clump of cells thing, but it had nothing to do with being mean. She said it to prove a point about abortion, obviously that went over their heads.

"Mary" was, of course, one of your new socks named after Sheila's relative. Sheila bought you that posting account, just like Mason gave you some as well.

I have a feeling that CompleteFuckingMoron has never considered the the fact that he might be creating a kid when he got it on with a woman. Men don't get the right to lecture us about morality and what we can/cannot do with our bodies unless they are 100% responsible when having sex.

Every conservative moralist ever:

Exactly Fowl...my reply was to you and yours and all those descriptions you cling to for unborn children (potential human, clump of cells, not a child until he or she is born......I guess you forgot to include any of that..you always do....
Guessing you didn't include those posts in your very extensive "files", darn it....
That was easy...
