A Republican congresswoman from Texas has not cast a vote in the US House since July while she has been grappling with “dementia issues” and residing at a senior living facility, according to her familysomething she did not disclose to the public before a Dallas media outlet figured out where she was during her prolonged absence.

Kay Granger, 81, has represented Texas’s 12th congressional district, which includes part of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, since 1997. And beginning in January 2023 she spent more than a year as the chairperson of the powerful House appropriations committee.

She's done some good stuff, especially for the military, but this is an example of why politicians should retire soon after any election where they are older than 65.

She's already stated last year she won't be running for reelection.

Granger has received many honors for her unshakeable commitment to our military and to restoring America’s strength and power in the world. In 2020, she was awarded the U.S. National Guard Association’s Harry S. Truman Award, the Association’s highest honor. She has also received the Navy Distinguished Public Service Award and the Department of the Army’s Decoration for Distinguished Civilian Service, the top civilian honors respectively bestowed by the Secretaries of the Navy and the Army. Granger is proud to use her knowledge of national security and appropriations to secure funding vital to not only our common defense but also the North Texas defense industry and the tens of thousands of hardworking Texans who make the Fort Worth metroplex America’s top defense industrial hub.
U.S. Rep. Kay Granger, Texas' most senior Republican in the state's congressional delegation, announced Wednesday she will not seek reelection after nearly three decades in Congress.

"Serving my community has been the greatest honor, and I have always fought to improve the lives of my constituents," Granger, of Fort Worth, said in a statement.

Granger, 80, chairs the powerful House Appropriations Committee and has represented Texas' 12th Congressional District since 1997.

Granger has had a barrier-breaking career. When she first won her seat in 1996, she became the first Republican woman to go to the U.S. House from Texas, and before that, she was the first female mayor of Fort Worth. Granger's seniority among in the delegation makes her the de facto dean of the state's House Republicans. She puts together a weekly lunch for delegation members where she has pushed for greater Texas representation within her party's leadership.

Of course they wouldn't. these are the same people who told us all for YEARS that dementia Joe was perfectly fine mentally.

True, but hopefully NOW we'll see some action on the cognitive testing that Elon Musk talked about. You do know he was talking about Kay Granger, right?

The WOKE Death Cult deal is that they are allowed to die in office so long as they follow instructions.....the purpose of this deal is to keep the people from seeing that Constitutional order is over for as long as possible.

The reason that the Bidens are so upset is that the rule does not apply to Presidents...they were removed.
