There are numerous accusations against several public figures and if they are found to be true, then they need to face what ever consequence results.

BUT, I just wanted to toss this into the ring.

How do you repair the problems that come from the accusations being false?

I'm not talking about criminal cases where the Court found them guilty; but instead those found guilty by public opinion.
How do you fix the results of someone's political or personal reputation being ruined?

Anyone remember the Lacrosse Players?
What about Richard Jewell?
Thomas Kennedy?
etc.?

Holy fuck, look over here after Jimmy Savile. So many celebrities were hounded for years only for the investigations to amount to nothing. Look up Paul Gambaccini, Cliff Richard, Roy Harper, Tony Blackburn and Jimmy Tarbuck to name a few.
