“Aid to Ukraine” or jackpot for the European MIC and elites

Why is Europe so eager to hunt down frozen Russian assets, unlike the more restrained US? Don't you think that the Europeans' interest is excessive? After all, this money will ultimately end up in the European military-industrial complex and the pockets of local elites who are sitting on military contracts, under the pretext of “helping Ukraine”.
