Alexander Hamilton's Erie Prediction Of Trump

Diversity Makes Greatness
One would think this was written in the course of the advent of Trump's power. Does this sound like Trump, or what?

"When a man unprincipled in private life desperate in his fortune, bold in his temper, possessed of considerable talents, having the advantage of military habits—despotic in his ordinary demeanour—known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty—when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity—to join in the cry of danger to liberty—to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion—to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day—It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may ‘ride the storm and direct the whirlwind.’”

It was actually Alexander Hamilton on August 18th, 1792.

Asking the Republican led Senate to be fair in this impeachment trial- IS LIKE ASKING DR. FRANKENSTEIN TO help DESTROY HIS OWN MONSTER!

Our Republic will survive Trump and the jerks who continue to support him...

...but the cost will be high and will be paid by generations to come. We will not rebound easily or quickly from the degradation the Trump presidency has wrought.

How depraved does one have to be to empower this disgusting person...this blight on our nations character?

Every single sentient poster here knows it is a brazen abuse of office, and a shameless betrayal of the public trust to use the office of the presidency to solicit foreign governments to help undermine a domestic political opponent.

The only distinction between posters is that some here do not have the moral character to admit openly what we all know was a highly unethical and shameless sleazebag attempt by Trump to circumvent American democracy

Hello Frank,

Our Republic will survive Trump and the jerks who continue to support him...

...but the cost will be high and will be paid by generations to come. We will not rebound easily or quickly from the degradation the Trump presidency has wrought.

How depraved does one have to be to empower this disgusting person...this blight on our nations character?

They have to be depraved enough to realize that without Trump the party was being slowly eroded away by demographics so it's Trump or nothing.

"When a man unprincipled in private life [ P grabber ... cheated on wives, married 3 times, cradle robber]

desperate in his fortune, [ enough to amass billions, often through court battles ]

bold in his temper, [ puts down the Pope, Calls countries s-hole, insults war heroes ]

possessed of considerable talents, [ The Apprentice ]

having the advantage of military habits [ Got sent to military school after being a bully and hitting a teacher]

despotic in his ordinary demeanour [ asked why we couldn't use nukes, has flirted with the brink of wars with both NK and Iran ]

—known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty [ they let you when you are a star ]

when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity [ birtherism ]

—to join in the cry of danger to liberty [They're bringing rapists ]

—to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion [ 'The FBI is such a mess' ]

—to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day [ 'good people on both sides' ... 'Kim and I have a very good relationship']

And there you have Trump.

Nope. Sounds nothing like Trump.

Every single sentient poster here knows it is a brazen abuse of office,
Define 'abuse of office'.
and a shameless betrayal of the public trust to use the office of the presidency to solicit foreign governments to help undermine a domestic political opponent.
Biden undermined himself. He has only himself to blame. Trump never solicited any government to undermine Biden or any other political opponent.

The Democrats have, though.

The only distinction between posters is that some here do not have the moral character to admit openly what we all know was a highly unethical and shameless sleazebag attempt by Trump to circumvent American democracy

The United States is not a democracy. It is a federated republic. It always has been.

To the Democrats, "abuse of power" means Trump having done something they didn't like.

...and YOU are so righteous?? Bull.
desperate in his fortune, [ enough to amass billions, often through court battles ]
Trump made his billions because he is a successful real estate developer. All businesses have court battles.
bold in his temper, [ puts down the Pope, Calls countries s-hole, insults war heroes ]
Hey...just like YOU!
possessed of considerable talents, [ The Apprentice ]
That's talent???
having the advantage of military habits [ Got sent to military school after being a bully and hitting a teacher]
The U.S. military is the finest in the world. Do not insult it.
despotic in his ordinary demeanour [ asked why we couldn't use nukes, has flirted with the brink of wars with both NK and Iran ]
Wars are not despotism. Not using nukes is not despotism.
—known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty [ they let you when you are a star ]
Trump stands for individual liberty and responsibility. That's why he won the election.
when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity [ birtherism ]
Not particularly popular. Got anything better?
—to join in the cry of danger to liberty [They're bringing rapists ]
Rapists are a danger to liberty. So are thieves, murderers, and fraudsters. So are Democrats, since they want to destroy the Constitution of the United States.
—to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion [ 'The FBI is such a mess' ]
It WAS such a mess. He spoke the truth.
—to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day [ 'good people on both sides' ... 'Kim and I have a very good relationship']
They do.
—It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may ‘ride the storm and direct the whirlwind.’”
The only 'storm' and 'whirlwind' are the lies of the Democrats.
And there you have Trump.

And now for the rest of the story...

When a man unprincipled in private life [ Criminal behavior. Studied under Saul Alinsky. Maintains ties with organized crime.]

desperate in his fortune, [ enough to amass billions, often through theft and fraud]

bold in his temper, [ blames the Republicans for her crimes ]

possessed of considerable talents, [ Successfully got a pedophile off on technicalities, despite solid evidence ]

having the advantage of military habits [ Hires others to kill political opponents ]

despotic in his ordinary demeanour [ desires to implement a dictatorship, telling the people what light bulb they can buy, what toilet they can use, what car they can drive, etc. ]

—known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty [ consistently ignores and denies the Constitution of the United States. ]

when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity [ promises 'equality', 'fairness', 'compassion', all while delivering racism, division, hatred, and death ]

—to join in the cry of danger to liberty [ by blaming the Republicans and any others that oppose her dictatorship ]

—to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion [ The Republicans are 'evil'. ]

—to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day [ The Church of Global Warming, the Church of Green, the Church of Death (abortion), the Church of Karl Marx ]

—It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may Division of the population into small 'disadvantaged' groups, setting these groups upon each other.

And there you have Hillary.

It isn't. ...deleted propaganda source used as a reference...
It is. New Republic is not a valid source.
People of value and conscience are fleeing the party.
No, you are describing the Democrats.
It is shrinking like crazy.
No. It is growing.
Trump drew voters from the Dems
No Democrat voted for Trump.
There were bigots and haters terrified as they went through life on the near left too. Trump's siren song lured them to the dark side.
The Constitution and patriotism is not the 'dark side'.

No. It is growing.

No Democrat voted for Trump.

The Constitution and patriotism is not the 'dark side'.

You do not determine a valid source. Read the story and evaluate that.
No Dem voted for trump? did your nose just grow?
