The Washington Post has surveyed all Republicans in Congress to find out who they think won the presidential election.

2 said Trump
27 said Biden
220 don’t know or won’t say.

“The future will take care of itself,” McConnell told reporters, referring to something that happened a month ago.

They know, they just do not want to face Trump's wrath. Trump is not licking his wounds. He is striking out. He just fired 9 Pentagon consultants and replaced them with Trumpies. Who does that?

There is no winner of the 2020 election as of yet. The results are indeterminate (pending lawsuits, electors not yet chosen by the legislatures, etc...)

Look at the cracker football coach who beat Dougie Jones in Alabama.
Recently, he was unable to name the three branches of federal government.

Why does any civilized state want to share a nation with them?

Their scared Trump is taking names, afraid of his sway over his base in their districts, that he will primary them next election, not a lot of profiles in courage coming out of the GOP

Then again, there really isn’t much of a GOP anymore, the right wing media owns the party, whatever principles are suppose to define conservatism or the Republican Party have long been forgotten. When was the last time there was an influence maker other than Trump in the GOP? The right turns to their media to tell them what and how to think

So our history and conventions that all former presidents adhered to do not matter anymore? The election is over. No more presidential ballots are being turned in and the counting has stopped. We know who won. Trump got stomped. The election is certified. That was another phony hurdle the right believed in.

The events are playing out in the exact order that they have played out in every election since WW2. Your refusal to accept the events doesn't change the simple fact that the winner has been decided and the electoral college vote is known at this point by everyone that is of sound mind.

On election day, voters voted.
On election day and the days after the votes were counted and submitted to the state office in charge of elections
The votes reported to the state were released to the public and reported on by the media.
Based on the reported votes the media declared a winner in each state. (In no election has this resulted in a state changing the declared winner after the winner was universally projected by the media.)
Each state certified the vote totals. (No certified vote total where a candidate has led by 500 votes or more has ever been overturned.)
The states then declared the electoral college voters based on the certified vote totals. (No state since WW2 has ever rescinded its declared slate of electoral college voters.)

The only thing that is left is the following which is a foregone conclusion based on the reality of what has already occurred.
The electoral college voters will meet and cast their ballots in support of the candidate that won the majority of the certified vote.
Congress will open the sealed ballots and count them. There will be no surprise because the electoral college voters are chosen to support the candidate that won the majority of the popular vote as certified in each state.

Well if Trump declared the election invalid, imposed martial law and suspended the Constitution that would certainly be fascism.

Freedom means accepting the election results.

And we all know he is trying to keep himself out of prison, but consider that there's another thing that hasn't been talked about as much.... his marriage.

He will probably be losing Melania when he loses power.

Rumor has it she is ready to split. Just hanging around for appearances.

It matters, and it is currently playing out as we speak. This time it is taking a lot longer to play out because the election results remain indeterminate.

Certification is not a "phony hurdle". It is a constitutional requirement.
