As we have discussed our friends on the left have a visceral opposition to people showing ID to vote claiming it is inherently racist even though people are mandated to show ID for any multitude of activities.

Now I have often asked my friends on the left whether they oppose keeping non citizens from voting and they all say that non citizens should not vote.

So here is my alternative. You must show proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. Problem solved.
 
How do you know the person submitting the proof of citizenship is the same person on the paper?

Easier solution: Free ID for those who can't afford it, or people not born in a hospital when a birth certificate isn't available.
