Americans blame former President George W. Bush.....

Americans blame former President George W. Bush, Wall Street and Congress much more than they do Mr. Obama for the nation’s economic problems and the budget deficit, a new poll found.

A NY TIMES poll... nothing BIASED there... might as well take a poll of WND.com readers as to whether or not they believe obama was born in America.

Get real. This economy now belongs to obama, period, no if, ands or buts, it's all his, and it's sinking like the Titanic, and I guarantee you, when it does, nobody is going to be blaming Bush. The blame will AAAAALLL go to obama, reid, pelosi, fwank, dodd, geithner, bernanke, and the rest of the liberals who had their hands on the cash.

I don't think this mess is entirely Obama's fault either.

But that doesn't mean his policies are helping the situation and he will have to pay the price if some people with better ideas come along as people grow fatigued.

The depression wasn't all Hoover's fault either. He just made it so much worse he gets most all the blame even when there is blame to go 'round on both sides of him.
Hoover wasn't responsible for the depression, he didn't actively do anything to make it worse either. Hoover was very libertarian in his approach to the great depresion. He decided that it wasn't the place of the Federal Government to do anything to provide relief. Hoover wasn't apostrophised for causing the great depression, Coolidge and Harding get most of that blame. Hoover was damned and criticized for doing too little to address suffering or to address the economic situation via government intervention as he felt it was not a proper role of government to do so. By doing little or nothing until it was to late, he did indeed cause the depresion to be worse then it should have been.

I'm really surprised at you Adam. Given your Libertarian rhetoric and given Hoovers policies as they were I'm suprised you don't consider Hoover and Harding to be the two greatest US Presidents ever as they were the closest thing this nation has had to a Libertarian President.

Gallup poll for Obama's handling of the economy is only 36%.

And it will get worse. The sudden realization that jobs are first priority tends to make people believe that the guy has no ability to understand the economic realities in front of him.

Repeating that the health care malformation was going to solve the jobs didn't help him at all.

The attempt to make it about Republicans will backfire when people are simply reminded he had a super majority of both houses of congress, which he lost because he continued to miss the fact that jobs are the first priority...

Well, that was stupid of him. Why didn't he & Congress just create a ton of jobs, and bring the unemployment rate down below 5% in the 1st year?

Dumb...

Maybe if he'd acted on the tried and true pro business approach to the economy we could have made a good start...no second stimulus, no multi billion dollar budget full of pork...some of that promised scalpel approach to eliminating and or freezing programs…instead he’s been an ideological spendthrift with our money!

He’s dumb on the economy and dumb on terrorism!

I wonder if people would have viewed it differently had they actually worked towards that rather than the attempt to malform the health care system in the US with a constant insistence that it would somehow create jobs to do so...

Seriously. You can't make this stuff up.

Promising that if his Stimulus passed unemployment wouldn't go above 8% was "genius." Then ignoring any attempt to refocus on the economy and saying that his health care "plans" would fix... even more "genius"...
