We ruined Afghanistan when we could have been helping them.

IMHO we did not ruin Afghani-NAM, it was ruined before we got there- it has been a mess for over a century or more-prob should not even be one country=clusterfuck of tribes which has a Pashtun hegemony & they're ruled by religious bigots as they have been for centuries..

Yes, we should have had a Marshall plan but that was out of Jr's, cheny & rummies lane, they thought they could do it on the cheap, & then someone reminded jr about his dad & that bad man in Baghdad............

China is next up on the graveyard stage...

But by redeploying troops so early in his presidency, he is committing himself even more firmly to quick withdrawals of American forces in Iraq — and that carries risk.

Obama added: “The fact that we are going to responsibly drawdown our forces in Iraq allows us the flexibility to increase our presence in Afghanistan.”

Agreed, it was a fuckin blunder when we went in~ nothing done to try & fix it or change the reasons we were there was going to change that..

We could be there 100 years & nothing there would change, it would look like it did when we originally went there=as it does today...

I'm wondering when they will bomb the bases there so the taliban isn't flying terrorist around or some other reason??
