I would love to have one of our distinguished leftist colleagues explain why and how anyone should have the authority to determine what words other people use. This is specifically related to the foolishness of preferred pronouns but feel free to explain the general principle. I promise not to laugh at you. Much
 
I favor using pronouns as prescribed by traditional English grammar conventions.

My colleagues here on the left mostly disagree, however.

Do you believe you should be compelled to use pronouns in the nontraditional way or punished for not doing so?

because good leadership or government involves the consent of the governed / led, at least to some degree.

totalitarians, having giving up on attaining true consent from others, seek instead to deceive them as one deceives victims.

controlling perception is a good way to mislead vast numbers of people.

so they censor.

No, I don't. That being said, nobody has tried to punish me for speaking as i choose to speak, using pronouns as prescribed by classic English convention.

Are you hurt by these words? Wasn't it you that argued that words aren't important? Gosh, you look really stupid now, don't you?

No one forces you to use any word you don't want to. Stop crying like a little bitch.

Personally, I find the whole thing silly, but it doesn't hurt me in the least. Poor little snowflake.
