Now for the record, I am not an environmentalist. I am a conservationist. The two are very different things.
But, for the purposes of this post, I would like to make the argument that liberals should oppose immigration to the US on environmental grounds.
It has long been the contention of the leftist environmentalists that the United States is responsible for much of the world's environmental problems. We use too much energy. We use too many natural resources.
Well, why on earth would they want to bring MORE people to this country to use even MORE resources and exacerbate the problem? Surely living in their poop holes they will have a smaller carbon footprint than living here in the United States right?
I would argue that the open borders crowd don't really care about the environment.
So I say "Save the planet. Oppose immigration"
