Then STFU and report it so it can be moved to General Politics. $20 says when it is moved, you won't whine like a mewling kitten about it like you did for anatta's thread.

The only reason Solyndra failed was because of a patented invention of a better way to slice silicon, resulting in a 40% saving in the cost of panels.

There were no lies, Factless Earl.
It was simply unlucky market timing.

Wow. This forum is no longer in "Current Events" but is now in "General Politics". Where is the whiner thread of douchebags bitching about it? Anatta?

not even correct about that as we are an energy exporter now. you are such a dumb ass
If you read English better instead of relying on your Russian-English translator you'll see I made no such claim. I know the US is an energy exporter and importer. I know we import ME oil but mostly for political and military reasons, not economic. I also know that most of our allies and trading partners are dependent upon ME oil even though Russia would like to change that for western Europe. Is that why you are throwing shade, tovarisch? Didn't Putin 'splain it to you? If you were really a Russian patriot you'd put a bullet in that motherfucker's head the next time you blow him.

Of course he is correct you idiot.

Thanks, Rune. As previously posted, I posted about "world" depending upon oil, which it obviously does. Even though the US can depend upon native and closer allied oil imports (mainly Canada) the global economy, including the US economy, is based on petrodollars.

https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/us-energy-facts/imports-and-exports.php
The United States is one of the largest energy importers in the world. The United States was generally self-sufficient in energy up to the early 1950s, and annual energy exports were greater than energy imports.1 In the mid-1950s, the United States began importing greater amounts of crude oil and petroleum products (such as gasoline and distillate fuels) to fill the gap between petroleum consumption and domestic production. The United States also imported natural gas to help supply natural gas demand.

Total U.S. annual primary energy net imports (imports minus exports) generally increased in most years since the mid-1950s and reached a record high in 2005, equal to about 30% of total U.S. energy consumption. Since 2005, annual energy imports decreased and energy exports increased.

In 2019, total U.S. energy exports were greater than total energy imports, and the United States became a net total energy exporter for the first time since 1952.

Quick! Someone explain to our Russian member what "net exporter" means.

Believe me, you are preaching to the choir.

Other significant factors include;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakken_Formation

With advancements such as horizontal drilling and fracking, the US now holds massive recoverable reserves, making imports much less needed, except that our refineries are set up for light sweet crude, making the rock oil of the Bakken formation cheaper to export for refining (except for some areas of more mature oil. THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TRUMP.

https://www.nrdc.org/stories/fracking-101

Natural gas abundance in the US (and lower costs of said gas) have lead to a situation in which it is cheaper to build a new plant than to continue to burn coal.
TRUMP HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS,

https://www.wired.com/story/china-i...o roughly 1,000,just sitting around collectin

https://www.forbes.com/sites/judeclemente/2018/10/07/the-u-s-coal-export-boom-to-china/#6449e2493454

China's demand for coal has greatly increased our exports.
IF ANYTHING THE DONALD HAS HURT THIS MARKET< HE HAS IN NO WAY HELPED IT,

http://news.mit.edu/2018/explaining-dropping-solar-cost-1120

Again, Trump has NOTHING to do with this.
It is now cheaper to install solar solar than 2 electric poles if one has a long driveway.

I could continue but why?
Trump is a lying piece of shit and anatta sucks his tiny mushroom and swallows. Apparently all those hamberders add flavor.

This isn't General Politics either. Off Topic, War Zone, or even better, Where Threads Go To Die. Pffft!

The title certainly isn't, but the subject of renewable energy certainly is general politics.

Off Topic and War Zone are fun. After about 100 posts, all threads deserve to go there. :)
