Charges Dropped in Illinois Child-in-car Case
CHICAGO (AP) -- Child endangerment and obstruction charges were dropped Thursday against a woman who briefly left her 2-year-old daughter sleeping in the car while she and her two older daughters poured coins into a Salvation Army kettle.
Treffly Coyne had been scheduled to stand trial Thursday but instead prosecutor Peggy Gill-Curtin told Judge James Ryan that the office was dropping the misdemeanor charges.
