Winter has decided to pay us all the visits that it missed the past two years... In this month. Another blizzard is on the way so I'll be posting less than normally today. Gotta get 16 hours of work done in 6 so I can go home a bit early.

Tell me about it. This time I am not going to be a dumbass.... my laptop goes home with me tonight cause tomorrow is supposed to get nasty. The airport was a disaster zone this past Saturday morning. I felt bad for people who were waiting in those eternally long lines.

yeah... that would be ME. My flight was scheduled for Saturday morning. Plus, I fly Frontier enough to be a "premium" member. Which means I did not have to wait in the 1000 person line to get my boarding pass, nor did I have to wait in the long security line. 15 minutes to check in and get through security. Needless to say... those camped in line for hours were none to happy with me.

Yeah, the airlines are the only business I know of that are allowed to sell more product than they can provide.
Why is this legal ?

actually, many businesses outsell their inventory. The reason airlines have for this is cancellations and changes by travelers.

When airlines overbook and they do have a shortage of seats they compensate the travelers.
