But the problem lies with the sanctioning bodies from each sport.
It's their job to take care of it, not the political system's.

Agreed. Some are protesting, but that crosses into college scholarships if they just boycott or quit. Rather than putting it on the athletes, perhaps the parents and other audience members should start boycotting events that allow such unfairness in the sport.
