Yes I use it occasionally, it was pretty crap at first and the settings were truly bizarre and non-intuitive. It was rumoured that they would start charging for it but it seems they decided against. To be honest I much prefer the DDG browser on my phone, it certainly is fast though.

Always use Firefox on my Kubuntu/Windows 10 laptop, that's pretty damn good at stopping trackers as well.

Indeed. DuckDuckGo is good too. They don't track, either, and they have some excellent online safety features.

It's not just the data mining that is objectionable with Google.

Google & YouTube (owned by the same "woke" corporation) have been found to slant their search algorithms (and policies) for political purposes.

You're a moron if you thought the makers of Brave ever considered charging for it. You know you'd never pay for it, but you thought others would? How fcking stupid is that? Even more so with Brave, because they have their own in-browser advertising plans (which they tell everyone about), and the last thing an advertiser wants to do is kill the market for their ads.

Yes, "Prager University" sued Youtube for censoring their conservative educational videos as if those videos were porn (Youtube also lied about the impact of the censorship). A court just found that Youtube has a right to censor whatever they want, as a private company.

Censor whatever they want? Youtube controls 99% of the non-pay video streaming market. Yet, if I don't want to make faggot art for a customer, the entire lefty establishment (including courts) suddenly have no concept of a private company, nor of free speech and religious freedom, even though I would control next to nothing in such markets as cakes and photography.
