I will say this, some people call it GoT in space. (before GoT sucked)... look, that's an overstatement. Sometimes it's a bit clunky or cliche in the first season or so, but it really starts hitting it's stride and it's definitely solid.
It's basically a show of how we would view humanity as a space fairing society in the near future.
The show tries to be realistic about how things work in space, so for example they simulate gravity by accelerating towards a destination for half the trip and then flipping around and going reverse for the back half. Cool stuff like that which is actually tangible.
