anyone heard from Gore yet???

I must admit I haven't read the details but can anyone give me a bullet point description of what the fraud is? I mentioned to my wife about climate gate and she asked me what the issue was and I couldnt really explain it.

According to the emails that were released, the 'scientists' (term used very loosely) massaged the data to get the results they wanted (the hockey stick). They appear to have also actively deleted emails in response to the FOIA requests. The original data that they massaged was in parts discarded back in the 1980's due to storage capacity issues. (thus, the 'theory' is based on data that cannot be checked or verified without someone compiling the original data again) Add to this their apparent suppression attempts of opposing opinions and their statements that they cannot explain why the earth hasn't continued warming for the past 12 years and the conclusion would appear to be that all the claims of 'consensus' and 'debate is over' and 'it is decided' are bogus and thus a fraud to continue pretending 'man is the primary cause of global warming'.

But apparently... the White House hasn't come to that conclusion yet...

I think he is a self-serving liar and a detriment to cleaning up the environment. His constant fear mongering over something that is based on shoddy science is a significant distraction from solving the actual problems that need to be addressed.

so yes, I really love the fact that this is blowing up in his face.

No, it doesn't bug me. Just think you could better spend your time somewhere you have a genuine concern about. Since you don't care about scientific fraud funded by your tax dollars, you have no reason to be here.

So, you should really just go away.
 
What I am most surprised about is the direct ignorance of the information provided. Instead of changing position on new information, we get a defense of the position from the supposed party of open minds...

Seriously, there is no basis to destroy our economy because of this fabricated science. The continued belief that we should set policy based on the data given by scientists shown to be in a conspiracy of misinformation would be laughable if it wasn't so dangerous.

There are good reasons to get off foreign energy, this simply opens the way to do so without the direct destruction of the economy as the only tool offered to get it done.

So essentially the notion that we are causing harm to the environment for greenhouse gases is bogus? We are not effecting the climate?

The basis is the notion of social justice through destroying white majority nations. That is the goal. Climate lies were just a means to that end.

I am beginning to agree with you on this. All of the restrictions placed on companies because of the doctrine of "man caused" global warming are looking pretty useless (and harmful to the economy) in light of the evidence that is coming out. Don't anyone get me wrong, I am for protecting the environment in a lot of ways. Nature is very important to me....if an industry is polluting a river or the air, make them clean up their act. Just don't put unecessary restrictions on a company because what they do "might" cause problems based on science that used "massaged" evidence.

That would seem to be the way the investigation is heading. Of course with one side pushing their agenda and the other side pushing theirs...we're gonna get a lot of bogus stuff from both sides. To put it rather bluntly, I don't trust any of 'em. Getting cynical in my old age :).

Factor in that co2 is like oxygen for plants. Curbing emissions could deforest the entire earth. Then we would have to buy seeds and air from monsanto.

Factor in how "developing nations" would have a different standard of compliance. This is an attack on white majority nations.
