Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

We would probably not be able to have these discussions in this forum without the loss of so many lives to preserve our rights.

PS: I tried to put this in Above Politics but could not for some reason.
 
A grand salute to those who watered the tree of liberty with their sacrifice!

And to those who were willing, but lucky enough to come home alive.

God Bless you all, and please accept my most humble gratitude.

Indeed, gratitude to all who gave their last full measure. I spent most of the day yesterday watching Band of Brothers. What a great series.

I did the same. I eagerly await the DVD release of the series on the Pacific.

I spent Sunday in the local parade. And Monday working, followed by drinking at the AMVETS.
 
My deepest respect and gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
