Apples real concern

USFREEDOM911

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
After listening to Apple continually rail against the Health Care issues of the US, I believe I've finally figured out what's driving him.

He's worried about the failing Canadian Health Care system and is afraid that if the US doesn't adapt it's system to mirror Canada's, that Canada will adopt a system similar to that in the US.

Don't bet on it, Canadian's love their health care and they get real ugly when the government tries to take it away.

You might want to take a look at some of the things that have failed and are failing.
I still propose that this is why Apple rails against our system so much.
He LOVES his system and doesn't care that it's failing for some of his own countrymen; because he's got his and screw them.
I believe that he figures if the US goes to a similar system then he'll always have what he WANTS; because other countires (read Canada) will automatically decide that since the US Health Care failed, that there's nothing else they can do.

I think it is always good to do that in any government, it is just trying to get politicians to be realistic about what really works and what doesn't. Canadians know their health care could use some work, but they know it is a damn site better than what we have here in the states! Not the doctors and the facilities, but the way it is paid for and how ours is a for profit system and theirs is not.

That must explain as to why we have so many doctors flocking to Canada.

Then why aren't those Liberal doctors all moving to Canada and being part of the Canadian system.
Which leads me back to my question as to why aren't doctors flocking to Canada?
I don't know Freedom, I guess it is because in the long run, they do make enough to live very comfortably in America and most Canadians don't think that much of America and Americans to want to live here, most think that their country is superior to ours, as most Americans think their country is superior and they wish to live here. It is well documented, that even though American doctors pay more for their education, they still on average make in some cases twice their foreign counterparts. Specialist are especially well compensated and that is why so many doctors specialize now because they make far more money that of a general practitioner.

But for you to say that they are making an "indecent living" was bogus.
Most doctors struggle to make it through 8+ years of College and then to start a practice so deep in debt, that it would smother most of us; it was a "feel good" statement you made and had no true merit.

You said "there are those who work for the greater good and still have a soul", makes it appear that the majority are only in it for the money and don't care about the people they treat.

You can't deny that there are a lot of doctors that do make an indecent wage and one of them was the doctor who put me under every time I was operated on, his bill use to make me faint!

Because you had a negative experiance, doesn't mean that you can lump them all into one group.

Because of the work that you husband does, you probably live pretty good.
Does that mean that you should be chastized for living better then others do?
Should everyone that works in the same profession be catagorized as having no soul.

From my standpoint and a lot of others in the US, your husband could be seen as making an "indecent wage".

If you were so unhappy with your doctor, why didn't you change to someone else?

Free, all anetheiologists charge the same, I did look into it. I also changed dentist when he starting charging 10% above what my insurance would pay. Found an even better dentist as a result.

Bud's job does not involve other people's lives, like a doctor's does.

Doctors' occupation involves others lives and to make it so that people can not afford care, to me, that is criminal, and they are also turning away people with government insurance. You better make sure you have a doctor who will care for you when you go on Medicare!

Doctor's aren't the worst offenders in medicine, it is the insurance companies!
