Did they learn their lesson?

What do you think, will they hold the nation hostage with the debt limit... by setting terms, or will they demonstrate that they learned their lesson from last years government shut down?

None of you Republicans want to beat your chest and go on about how refusing the raise the debt ceiling is the right thing to do?

Nobody want to talk about how shutting down the government was the right thing to have done?

Nobody want to quote Randall Paul talking about how you Republicans were winning that thing?

The GOP leadership is determined to not take the senate in November. The theory is that they like to control things as much as the Democrats, and so they don't want a huge margin of victory like the TEA Party gave them in the last two election cycles, because if that happened the GOP leadership would be replaced with TEA Party members.

So, are you saying that they should or should not give on the debt limit?

Most conservatives want to be able to force GovCo to live within its means, and have various ways to that end, such as the penny rule. Most see the sequester as a legitimate compromise. So rest assured the GOP leadership won't have that negotiating stance.

The biggest lesson the Right needs to learn is "The pen is mightier than the sword".

I wonder if the Right has learned yet that the Pen represents "thinking" and the sword represents "chest beating".

The answer to your OP;

No. It will take a Right Winger to close programs just like they did Government to wake the people up. They like to state "the left wants everything for free" but I work in a small form of Government and I notice that it's the absolute opposite. They want it all but don't want to pay a dime for it. They think they are entitled to our current structure.

Conservatives have almost NO PLANS on how to live within a Conservative era.

The "penny plan" proved that. Why point out the problems? Just cut some to all.....Not very brainy at all. This means you cut resources to a blind person because you see him/her as a "taker".

Yet the small brains are unwilling to recognize that the biggest corporations in America are paying NO TAXES. "We have to stop this debt, we have to do something" Big Corp are paying no taxes, the response to me was "Well you still have lights and your cell phones still work right, so shut up"

It's time America wakes up.

The Flat Tax and Fair Tax schemes both ensure that those evil corps all pay taxes.
