If so, consider this.
If you believe that it's realistic to expect battery banks to keep your lights on when wind doesn't blow and sun doesn't shine, do you understand the scope of the modern demand for electricity?
Greens across the pond are triumphantly touting "The Biggest Battery in Europe" (600 MW/2,400 MWh ) thinking it would keep their grid alive when wind and sun can't cope.
It's huge. It's expensive. Its so-called "carbon footprint" is immense.
Batteries are a ridiculously expensive, ineffective solution for a ridiculously expensive & ineffective form of energy generation. Don't even think about where the minerals for these Brobdingnagian batteries come from, or who's mining them. Or how they can be recycled (or disposed of) when they wear out.
Turns out it would be drained by current demand in 17 seconds.
Europe’s largest battery storage project secures approval
Netherlands-based developer Giga Storage has obtained the irrevocable permit for the construction of a 600 MW/2,400 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Belgium.

The largest battery storage in the world is the Moss Landing Energy Storage Facility in gruesome Newsom's deep Blue California.
So far, it's cost $560 million.
It reportedly has major overheating problems. Not so good if you believe in "global warming", I suppose.
It might be able to supply California with power for 4 hours, if it ever works at all.
