Are you kidding me? I have to remove the entire headlamp?

I really do like a good Ram truck... but who designed the fricking headlamps? He needs to be hit in the foot with a ball peen hammer... repeatedly...

In order to change the bulb, according to directions, I am supposed to remove the grill and the headlamp. Thankfully I just used an extender on my ratchet and remove the headlamp without removing the grill... However.

Nobody should have to disassemble their vehicle to change a headlamp bulb... That's just bad engineering.

I have never heard of that, on vehicles that are newer than 20 years anyway. what model do you have?

It might have been one of those affirmative action engineers who designed it. You better start checking who engineered the bridges you drive over.

Yes, I had to replace the High Beam bulb on my Infinity, and had to remove the battery and the headlight fixture, and that was a Biotch!

And the bulb cost me $200, it didn't match the other one, so I had to spend another $200 dollars to make them match and have the same output and color of the beam on both sides. And, of course, take the light fixture out on that side too to replace it.

The Good News! The low beam bulbs are only $129 a piece! :palm:

wow. so i just watched 2 minutes of youtube on changing that head lamp bulb....so thank you for showing me a damned fine reason not to buy one of those things
And the video didn't work for my vehicle as it is "protected bulb" version, so I had to remove more pieces... and I had to figure it out on my own as none of the videos had that in there... LOL

Seriously, you don't change them often so it isn't really a reason not to buy the truck, they are fine vehicles, but still whomever engineered that system deserves some pain in their lives for the pain they are inflicting on others.
