this makes no sense and isn't the amount cut only 1.4 million, surely cuts can be made elsewhere

btw...where do you think the cuts should be made watermark?

If there literally is no money, raise taxes or bonds. You don't just let them die.

I was watching BBC news earlier and a reporter asked Jan Brewer what had happened to the stimulus money, she said it was already spent.

gee, maybe you fucking idiot liberals could think of doing something different, like say CUTTING THE GOV BUDGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure that by reducing goverment employees and salaries, maybe even getting rid of a few alphabet agencies, you could have the money to pay for this shit.

The popular fantasy of an easy to cut budget is the cause of all of our budgetary problems in the United States.

what the problem is, is that too many idiot liberals (and watermarks) think that every dollar of the current budget is absolutely necessary, when in fact it isn't.

the sooner you morons accept that government isn't the solution to solving all problems, the sooner you can look forward to paying for peoples medical issues.

no, you're ignorance is why we have budgetary problems

what kind of person doesn't believe budgets can be cut and make it easy? good lord, are we as americans in such a nanny state of denial that we believe money grows on trees and that the government will always have an infinite amount for its bloated budgets

good lord watermark, i would be curious to see your view in 10 years

Apparently the cost of the transplants was around $6 million, a drop in the ocean when you think about the vast amounts of money dished out in bailouts to the likes of Goldman Sachs, AIG and Bank of America. Those fuckers have made sure that their bonuses are still coming in on schedule, I wonder if they would consider helping out?

If any good comes out of this tragedy and talk of cutting 300,000 people from medicaid it may well be people start to realize the necessity of the HCR bill.

Let's hope people open their eyes.

Hey, Yurt. Where would one find all the things the Federal Government is responsible for? I've been trying to Google but no success yet.

You mention budget cuts so I'm wondering what budgets the government is responsible for. Are you aware of a list?

A mouse story.

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?", the mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed this warning :"There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house! The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap. Alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it. It was a venomous snake whose tail was caught in the trap. The snake bit the farmer's wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital. When she returned home she still had a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup. So the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient: But his wife's sickness continued.

Friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. But, alas, the farmer's wife did not get well. She died.

So many people came for her funeral that the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them for the funeral luncheon. And the mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and you think it doesn't concern you, remember --When one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

I know. I was thinking if health care was under the Federal Government these situations would not arise.

I heard about Brewer allocating funds for a new roof for a Veteran's stadium. Money for a roof but let people die.

I wonder when people will realize there is plenty of money to look after the ill. The problem is the government does not want to spend the money on health care.
