Artemis II pilot Victor Glover wants to talk about "Whitey on the Moon"

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — NASA astronaut Victor Glover, recently named as the pilot of the Artemis II mission around the Moon, listens to Gil Scott-Heron's poem "Whitey on the Moon" twice a week on the way to work.

I wonder what type of reaction "Blackie on the Moon" would elicit? What do you believe this story is meant to inform us about? That glover is a racist imbecile? If so mission accomplished

I met him once. He and his copilot were flying to Houston (?) last year and stopped in Fort Worth to refuel their NASA T-38. A few of the CAP members in the squadron had never seen a T-38 up close so I took them out on the ramp to look at it. Captain Glover, USN, was there preflighting. I introduced myself and the squadron members and asked if they could look at his aircraft. He was nice and handed out several patches for them.

You didn't read the article, didja Yak?

FWIW, I disagree with the premise that space exploration should be stopped until all the people on the planet are fed.
