Many “academics” critiquing the spending audits suffer from a delusional view of their own intellect + live in a perpetual state of grandiose abstract thinking. To solve federal overspending, this issue can & should be solved linearly. The spend is too high, nobody knows where it’s going, and the bloat is strangling America. I don’t want to hear Eric Weinstein complaining that we may not have had Hezbollah pager bombs if there was USAID transparency (he really said that).
