Sen. Bernie Sanders expressed disappointment Thursday that former Republicans got more speaking time at the Democratic National Convention than progressives voices.

"I think the future of our country is with the progressive movement and I would have liked to have seen more progressives have a chance to get out there and to talk about their vision of the future of America," Sanders told Washington Post Live of the DNC choice to highlight Republicans like John Kasich and Colin Powell over progressives like the freshman squad.

It’s already started—you’re being kicked to the curb.

Bernie has a point: what the actual frick? Why should 2 Republicans crowd out AOC at the convention? Makes no sense. I can see trotting out one Never Trumper because—well I don’t know why really. What does it accomplish? Trump supporters could care less about Kasich or Colon Pile.

Democrats are dying to hear from them? I don’t get it.

At any rate, this is a slap in the face to the very segment of the party that has any measurable enthusiasm.

I think democrat leaders know that it’s going to be impossible to govern with the AOC wing doing anything but yipping from the sidelines.

The next 12 weeks are going to be interesting.

The 'Left' has a 'seat at the table'. They should just bide their time, and when it's their turn to speak, say what's on their mind.

In our local paper, not surprisingly, a lot has been written about the relationship between progressives and Biden. I guess a number of them have said they won’t support/sign off on the Dem party platform because it won’t back Medicare For All. So there is definite tension.

However, what they also say is they will still vote for Biden because Trump is that much of a threat. And once Biden wins office start attacking him on day one to make sure he moves to the left.

Now I have no idea if other progressives feel this way or how they will vote but that’s what is getting reported here.

Trump is an existential threat to America and the American Way. Obama spelled it out pretty well last night. It's the Duty of Every American to Vote this guy Out of Office.

This is the party convention where the platform is set.

Democrats *need* enthusiasm from their voters. The Republican Party is united behind Trump and they’re ready to roll. If progressives start to get the sense they are being played by party leadership [the corrupt DNC] there’s a significant risk they won’t turn out.

They pulled the rug out from under Bernie twice now, how much more can they take?

All Democrats will be voting for Biden. There is no hesitation.

Trump is totally unfit for the Office. Bottom Line: Trump needs to go.

Hence, my point about the next 12 weeks.

The radicals are going to making ‘suggestions’ to Biden. Things like defunding cops and Medicare for all is debate and campaign ad fodder for Trump. The problem for the radicals is most of the country *does not want* what they are selling. Especially the cop thing—that’s literal insanity.

Biden [or his handlers] know this so like I said, it should be interesting.

Trump is an asshole. It's that simple. Biden is next.
