The Defense Department cannot account for 14,030 weapons — almost 4% of the semiautomatic pistols, assault rifles, machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers and other weapons it began supplying to Iraq since the end of 2003, according to a report from the office of the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction.

who was incharge of this? Who is being held accountable by the administration for this?

no one....as usual...in fact, I am sure a promotion will be given to the person....by this lousy, irresponsible, lawless administration...

While Dixie was pontificating that shutting down the Iranian and Syrian borders would starve the insurgents of armaments, I pointed out to him that not only can the insurgents buy weapons on the international black market, but that they can get weapons internally from the corrupt Iraqi police and army. In short, they are self-sustaining independent of Iran.

Once again, Dixie was wrong.
