It was just on CNN so I don't have a link. Here's a quick summary:


- 71 people shot, at least 12 deceased
- Gunman (PhD student) parked near the exit and entered dressed in all black, ballistic helmet, ballistic vest, neck protecter, and groin protector
- Entered with 3 guns (assault rifle, pistol, and shotgun) and found 1 gun in car
- Took police 60-90 seconds from first response to apprehension
- Police have determined that the shooter's home is booby trapped with trip wires and poisonous chemicals

from handgun ammunition mainly. most rifle projectiles can penetrate the vest gear.

Shots from close range will penetrate the ballistic helmet and whether it penetrates or not a shot to the neck or head would have very likely disabled him.
