Agius sacked (advised to resign), Diamond pressured to repay bonuses (about 27 million pounds since 2007!)
Will that clean the system?
Now THAT'S how bloody stupid they think we are. Its not only UK, its not only Europe its the States too. (to quote from Handel's Messiah
'..and we like sheep...and we like sheep' etc STILL promote them to local committee chairs, still think they are worth paying, STILL do abso-bloody-lutely nothing about it.
Give bonuses back ? Sure, step one. Step 2? seize all assets. Step 3? Sack them and put them and their families on the streets like they have forced millions of their trusting 'subjects' to do since 2008.
Then there is the tax issue. A banker/entertainer/footballer earning millions per month and paying ONE percent tax and sometimes ZERO percent tax! cannot be allowed to continue.
The UK government is being forced to 'examine the situation' which is spin-ish for 'dont worry, this whole thing will die down when the newspapers get tired.'
The threat was: 'if we cannot make obscene amounts of money at home we will go somewhere else.' Yes, yes, yes. PLEASE go. Go now. Go before someone gets really chuffin' angry and hacks bits off you.
One of the nerds or geeks on here (I have never really understood the difference - if there is one) please spend some of your otherwise scintillating time and add up the total amount of bonuses and tax avoidances and evasions and then compare the figure with what different economies need to prevent extreme hardship.
What happened with the occupy movement? It became a bore. They still occupy some land at HSBC HQ here but they no longer get a second glance.
This criminal activity must be stopped. Not 'when we have examined the facts', not 'when the present bills have been passed', but NOW. Today.
But what to do? None of these criminals hide so they cannot be found. March on their houses and demand that society gets its money back. Camp in their gardens. Lie down in front of their cars.
