His mother and one of his brothers committed suicide.

His first marriage ended in divorce.

Beck was admitted to a special program for non-traditional students at Yale University while he was working for a New Haven-area radio station, having received at least one of his recommendations from Senator Joe Lieberman. During this time Beck took a single theology class, dropping out around the time of his divorce.

Beck is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. He also has a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Beck has suggested that Obama's health care reform agenda is a means by which he can effect reparations for slavery. He also has expressed concerns over the compassion of hospital staff after an outpatient procedure to remove a hemorrhoid went awry.

On May 17, 2008, Beck gave the keynote speech at the NRA convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

Beck argued that President Barack Obama has repeatedly shown "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture" and saying "I'm not saying he doesn't like white people. I'm saying he has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist." These remarks drew criticism, and resulted in a boycott promulgated by Color of Change. The boycott resulted in at least sixty-two advertisers requesting their ads be removed from his programming, to avoid associating their brands with content that could be considered offensive by potential customers.

You must obviously feel him a threat to go to this length to discredit him. And you list personal family issues because you are showing liberal compassion?

Without crediting the source of course. And you were of course looking for Beck the band and came across Glen Beck and decided it would be so interesting to post his info about personal family problems for no reason.

With progressive willingness to use workplace disrimination as a tool of social change, I would not put it past them to also ration health care according to a program that will "increase diversity". They're in denial about affirmative action. Once that line has been crossed, it will be no difficulty at all for them to stretch the lie to allow them to be in denial about Operation Kill Whitey.

Nothing we didn't know before, except that his mother allegedly committed suicide (odd your mama didn't after having you) ....

Beck talked about himself on his radio and TV shows often...

Soooo....big whoop !:bdh:

It's the same with In utero babies. Once they can dehumanize them, and downgrade their status to that of a wart, it will not be questioned when they seize fetuses during Obamacare probes and raise them in laboratories, for a variety of state purposes , from human lab experiments to creating an army of brainwashed Stormtroopers.

LOL

Oh, hell. I just got the joke. I thought AssHat was just another right wing nut job, but now I realize he's a progressive doing a Stephen Colbert on JPP. Damn, he's good! He really had me going until he tipped his hand on the stormtroopers (brainwashed, no less). Nobody that batshit crazy is on a message board. Those people are too busy insulating their tinfoil hats with old newspapers for the winter to risk exposing themselves on a board with so many unrepentant Liberals.

Too much of a stretch there, on an otherwise brilliant satire.

Your post would have been fine without the first part.

What does any of that have to do with the topic at hand?

Beck is the topic at hand.

His life experiences are integral in understanding the man.

Were those terms too technical (were the words too big for you)?

Let me know if you require any additional simplification.

If those experiences tell us anything, it is not what you were trying for.

If anything, his success is laudable.

I don't see how overcoming odds like that is something that Beck should be ashamed of, or that people should avoid him over. He's a sign that the "American Dream" isn't dead, in fact it thrives in spite of the obstacles that our government insists it must put in the way.

Ahh it figures, every pentecostal preacher I ever met claimed to be the worst sinner before they repented. Kind of like a badge of honor to have been the worst before they became the "best".

People tend to follow thses types. You've got me as to why, but it is a happenin.

One other point to make, certain types of mental illenss tend to be hereditary.
Bi-polar is one, delusional paranoia is another mentall illness symptom that seems to be heriditary.

He's also a recovering alcoholic, and so?

You're a complete and total tool, and they still let you out of your cage daily.

Where's the equality Brother DuNCie?

What was I "trying for"?

If a verbatim quotation from Wiki upsets you, perhaps you should be "trying for" an examination of your own prejudices.

Beck has always been open and honest about his past. I respect that. What DNC posted is old news. Apparently, it hasn't hurt Beck, because his ratings are still going up.

What's the liberal mantra "he has a compelling life story"?

He's in Seattle this Saturday, going with some friends...I really do appreciate his conservative/libertarian message.
